G-16 is one of the newer G-sectors and has been developing at a notably faster pace than some of its neighbours. Reporting from local real-estate sources — based on a site inspection in late 2023 — described the sector’s main boulevards (150 ft and 100 ft) as roughly 90% carpeted with street lighting installed, internal streets fully developed in Blocks A, B, and C, and roughly 75% complete in Blocks D and E. Electricity was reported operational with underground cabling in developed blocks, gas pipeline installation around 85% complete sector-wide, water supply from Khanpur Dam functional in Blocks A through C, and sewerage systems roughly 80% complete.
Two commercial (Markaz) plots had reportedly been auctioned in Blocks A and D with construction underway, and a third commercial area was planned for Block C. Given that this snapshot is now a couple of years old, current progress is very likely further along — buyers should ask CDA or FGEHA directly for the latest block-by-block completion figures rather than relying on a dated estimate.
G-6’s central position means it’s reachable from virtually every direction in Islamabad — a short distance from Constitution Avenue, the Diplomatic Enclave, and Blue Area, which is a large part of why it remains one of the city’s most convenient addresses.
